Biography
Hi, I’m Jalisia Guyton, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and the founder of Journey to Resilience Counseling Services, LLC. I earned my Master of Social Work from Saint Leo University and my Bachelor of Social Work from Florida A&M University. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving in a variety of roles — from supporting families in the dependency court system, to working in schools, suicide prevention with veterans, and providing care to justice-involved youth. Those experiences taught me that while life can be challenging, people are incredibly resilient when given the right support.

In my practice, I work with individuals navigating stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, and life transitions — with a special focus on college students and justice-involved individuals. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can show up fully as yourself. I believe therapy is your journey, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you take the lead.

In sessions, I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help uncover unhelpful patterns, highlight your strengths, and strengthen your confidence to make lasting changes. Clients often share that they feel heard, supported, and encouraged when working with me.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy attending comedy shows, spending time with family, and wandering through the aisles of Ross Dress for Less. I also believe deeply that asking for help takes courage, and I’m honored to support anyone who takes that first step.
